Following up on yesterday’s Target trade-in offer, I took advantage of it myself.  The offer is a $20 coupon for any game $29.99 or higher and is valid only the day you trade the games in.  Any games seem to work from the PS2/Xbox/GC generation forward, though specific rules may vary by location.  At my store it was limited to one trade per person.  I ended up with Uncharted 3 (which is on sale for $29.99 this week) and the newest Professor Layton for $10 each.

To find a participating store, call your local Target and ask if they have a mobile kiosk, because the locator on the trade-in site is inaccurate.  They also seem to have different hours than the store itself.  At my location the Mobile person who handles the trades was only there from 1PM – 8PM.  Also make sure the game(s) you want are in-stock because the coupon is only good the day you get it.  Other $29.99 games pre-coupon ($10 after) include the LA Noire Complete Edition, Portal 2, Gears of War 3, and Assassin’s Creed Revelations.
