Gamesites and store have practically been giving Max Payne 3 away. I bought it a few months ago for $9.99. It doesn’t seem to bad not sure why it’s constantly so cheap. They must have over produced it or something.

Yeah, makes me wish I had waited a bit, but I think I only paid 12-14 used (but looks new) a good while back… but now you can get it new for next to nothing. Haven’t played it yet, but it makes some peoples #1 and usually top 10 games of 2012.

Still haven’t seen a great deal on Tiger Woods yet… but I’ve been looking out for it.

I didn’t like Max Payne 3 all that much. It’s certainly worth it for that price but….
I thought the AI was terrible, really repetitive, you cant skip the cutcenes, and the load times were ridiculously long.

    • Brian Hinson

It’s interesting to see how people experience the same game differently, e.g. I thought the AI in Far Cry 3 was terrific and others said it was lame.

I haven’t played Max Payne 3 yet, but hopefully soon, I’ll let ya know what I think. I think I’m about done with FEAR, the first one.

While I will recommend games to people… I’m always second guessing myself because a game I think rules (e.g. Vanquish) someone else might think is terrible because what you get our of a game is going to be very subjective and particular to you and your likes/dislikes.

The enjoyment you experience with a game has so much to do with the mood or time in your life that you happen to play it, in my opinion. For whatever reason, I was addicted to Borderlands 1. Borderlands 2 is great too but i never really got that into it.

        • Brian Hinson

So true about “…the mood or time in your life that you happen to play…”

On another note… I think all games should allow pause/skip on cut scenes, and on games like Mass Effect where you make choices, it should just wait infinitely for you to make a choice. Oddly ME3 (but not ME 1 or 2) will choose for you if you don’t decide soon enough. It was nice being able to walk away from a long cut scene and make the choices/continue later… not with ME3 though.
